Red Light Therapy is a treatment that may help skin, muscle tissue, and other parts of your body heal. It works by exposing you to low levels of red or near-infrared light. Also called low-level laser therapy (LLLT), low-power laser therapy (LPLT), or photobiomodulation (PBM), this non-invasive procedure acts to stimulate the production of collagen, helping the body to heal and repair damaged tissue. Utilizing specialized diodes, Red Light Therapy emits gentle, low-level light energy that penetrates the skin's deeper layers.
Originally pioneered by NASA, this therapy incorporates two LED treatments: The red light LED initiates cellular stimulation, promoting collagen production, which leads to a more youthful, plumper appearance, while simultaneously addressing concerns like wrinkles, fine lines, and sun damage. The blue light LED effectively targets and eliminates acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin's surface.
